On the Edge Bar & Grill respects your privacy. This page explains exactly what happens to information when you visit this website. It is written in plain English rather than legal boilerplate, because we would rather you actually read it.
The short version: we do not ask you for any personal information, we do not set any cookies of our own, we do not sell or share anything, and we do not run advertising or tracking pixels. The embedded map loads from Google, which means Google sees your IP address when you scroll to it. Fonts are served from our own server, not Google. Details below.
Who we are
On the Edge Bar & Grill, 1136 Seaway Drive, Fort Pierce, FL 34949. You can reach us on (772) 882-9729. This site is operated by us; our sister property, Dockside Marina & Resort, runs a separate website with its own privacy policy.
Information you give us
There are no contact forms, no newsletter sign-ups, no accounts and no online payments on this website. We do not ask you to submit your name, email address or phone number anywhere on it. If you want to reach us, you call us or email us directly, and we hold that correspondence in the ordinary way any business does.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. You will not see a cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. If you play the embedded video or interact with the map, those third parties may set their own cookies — see below.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our web server keeps standard access logs: the IP address of the visitor, the page requested, the time, and the browser’s user-agent string. These are generated automatically, are used only for security and troubleshooting, are not linked to any identity, and are not shared with anyone. Our host rotates and discards them in the normal course.
Third-party services on this site
Google Maps
Our location section contains an embedded Google map. It loads only when you scroll down to it. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies under Google’s own policy. If you click through for directions, you are handed off to Google Maps entirely.
The concierge chat
The chat button opens an assistant that answers questions about our menu, hours, events, rooms and directions. It only runs if you open it and type something.
When you send a message, that message is passed to Anthropic, the company that provides the underlying language model, so it can generate a reply. We do not store your conversation on our server, we do not attach your name or any identifier to it, and the conversation is discarded when you close the page. Anthropic processes the message to produce the answer under its own terms, and does not use it to train its models. Please do not type payment card details, or anything sensitive or confidential, into the chat — it is there for questions about the property, nothing more.
Links to other sites
We link out to our social media pages, our sister property, and (for the inn) an external booking system. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s website, governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
Analytics
We do not currently run any analytics on this website. If we add Google Analytics or a similar tool in future, we will update this page before or at the time it goes live and note it in the “last updated” date above.
Your choices
Because we do not collect personal information through this site, there is generally nothing for us to look up, correct or delete. If you have written to us or spoken to us directly and want to know what we hold, or want it deleted, call (772) 882-9729 and we will help. Most browsers also let you block third-party content and cookies if you would prefer Google not to see your visit.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
